The artist

My name is Mike Mahle (male-ee). I’m a designer and illustrator based in Central Illinois. I'm known for my vector illustration, bright color palettes, and creative layouts. I’ve had the pleasure of creating work for clients such as Disney, Sci-Fi Now Magazine, Sony Pictures, and many more. My work has been recognized by ImagineFX, Pulp and Cult, Printed in Blood, and UCDA. I've self published three books featuring my art and design, Prime, Empire City, and Squared.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me creating for myself. Either putting together my next art book, or working on something that I have a burning desire to produce.

Fun Facts: I'm a dog lover, movie aficionado. I like rum, beer, pizza, seafood, and have a raging comic book habit.

For more about my adventures, I can be found on InstagramFacebookTwitter, Behance, and DeviantArt. Visit my Etsy shop for a selection of prints that may differ from what I offer here.

The studio

Like so many freelance artists I work out of a high tech central command center at an undisclosed secret location, or what my wife likes to call the basement. I was lucky enough to have it built to my specifications, and get to surround myself with all sorts of geeky inspiration. My studio was featured in an issue of ImagineFX, here's a link to the blog post about it. Artist in Residence.

11x17 and smaller open edition posters are printed on acid free Mohawk uncoated paper from an Indigo digital press somewhere deep in the Batcave. For limited edition gicleé prints, my printer of choice is Picture Salon in Madison Wisconsin. Their packaging and customer service are fantastic! Other vendors I recommend are Taste of Ink for all your business card needs, and Sticker Mule for sticky type stuff. And Netflix of course, Netflix is awesome.

All domestic orders over $75 ship for free. Domestic orders are shipped out with either USPS First-Class Mail Parcel (2-5 business days) or Priority Mail (2-3 business days). International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International, which takes 10-15 business days on average. In some cases it may take longer depending on the destination. Shipments may be in multiple packages and arrive at different times depending on what was ordered. Packages ship out once a week which allows a window of 1-5 days before your order will be processed, packed and shipped out. Ship days may vary throughout the week.

Be on the look out for some extra goodies in your package. Whenever possible I try and stick in some free stuff such as stickers or buttons when I have them.
